Solved! Solved! Red and green flashing lights on my Nikon Coolpix 3200 Nikon Coolpix P1000 Review: This 125x Superzoom Shoots the Moon Question Nikon D7100 Auto focus not working in live view And since i can get the grip for 10 euros (discount of 10 for reasons) i think it is a good deal. I have asked and looked everywhere and i cant seem to find anyone with the exact grip. I would appreciate it so much if you could fine someone that has this exact grip. But from changing from video to pictures again the battery goes down dramatically. I mostly take pictures and when i need to play with focus i use the D3200 cause my Coolpix L830 doesnt allow me to change focus points. I havent actually tested it for that long in video. Thats the average amount of pictures it takes per charge. Have you personally tested this chinese grip and you can confirm that the camera reboots cause of the connections flexing off? All that for a camera that doesnt bring in money? Bad idea. The least expensive NOT chinese one is at around 50 euros and that combined with the official EN-EL 14 battery sums up to around 100 euros. At the grips price range, 20 euros (minus 10 cause they messed up a previous order so now i have a discount) i wouldnt expect something better. Portrait mode pictures will also be way more easier cause you wont have to do like a "C" grip in order to reach the shutter button. + it saves you from finding the protective case, changing batteries, going back to place. When capturing videos,it lacks battery time so a battery grip is kinda necessary. The grip would mostly be used for the dual battery slot. For the purpose this camera was bought, its awesome. I have been looking at it in the past (cause of reasons) but the camera at the moment isnt used for something that brings in money so spending 200euros for a lense at this time is a no-no.Another camera is also a no-no since this one does its job perfectly. Thank you for Suggesting this wonderful lense. Save your money towards a fancier camera like a d7200 or adding a nice little lens like a 35mm f/1.8g. Meaning while shooting your camera might suddenly reboot as the electrical connections flex off and then back on to where they should be. Also these cheap chinese grips are very poorly made. It will allow easier shooting in portrait mode is all. Adding a grip adds weight without improving the camera performance.

#Battery for nikon d3200 series#
Why do you need a grip for an entry level camera? One of the few real advantages of the d3x00 series is how light and small they are. Typically 2 batteries will record a football match. I use these required stops in recording to swap out batteries when needed. So if I forget to stop it before then, I have to hit the record button again. The Sony also can only record 29minutes at a time. I use a Panasonic GH3 for fancier video and a Sony rx10 for casual video. It can only record 29 minutes no matter how large the battery is, only a panasonic GH can record longer. How long does the battery last in the d3200 when recording video? In still images (photos) it is better than most other small DSLR cameras (540 shots). Several other uses posted about other quality control issues. The flexing issue is one I read about on a different forum. In both cases I ended up almost never using the grip. In the case of the DX body, I decided that the Nikon grip was too expensive and so I kept the chinese one, mostly because I bought it in a different country and so I could not return it.

I have used a similar one on a different nikon aps-c body and a nikon full-frame body (different grip, different brand) and compared them to the Nikon original grip. I have not tested that chinese grip on your camera model.
